Software Engineer

Role Overview

This position owns the path from technical design to deployed software, with day-to-day work spanning coding, integration, testing, and documentation. The engineer helps teams ship dependable systems that satisfy functional requirements and hold up under real-world use. By turning ambiguous needs into maintainable implementations, this role directly strengthens the quality and pace of the organization’s software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert business needs and technical constraints into design notes, specifications, and actionable implementation plans.
• Write, review, and refine application code in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, or other agreed technologies.
• Assemble and connect software modules, services, and data access layers into complete, working systems.
• Build automated test coverage and quality gates, applying test-driven development practices where they fit the delivery approach.
• Create verification plans, reproduce defects, and confirm fixes across functional, integration, and regression scenarios.
• Maintain technical documentation for features, interfaces, deployment steps, and ongoing system support.
• Assess and introduce engineering tools, workflows, and delivery metrics that raise code quality and reduce cycle time.
• Partner with project leads and peers to follow agreed plans, coding standards, and release procedures, and act as a go-to technical resource for assigned systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A work history that demonstrates hands-on software engineering or development responsibility.
• Hands-on background designing interactive applications.
• Ability to develop software in C, C++, C#, Java, or another relevant language.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 or Hibernate.
• Experience building web applications with at least one mainstream framework, such as JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.
• Practical experience with test-driven development.
• Fluency with common software engineering tools and environments.
• Ability to document requirements, specifications, and technical decisions clearly.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and release processes.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
