Senior QA/QC Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior QA/QC Engineer oversees quality planning and field verification across construction work, helping ensure that delivered work meets project requirements and applicable standards. Working with project teams, consultants and contractors, the engineer turns quality procedures into practical checks, follows issues through to resolution and maintains reliable project records.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement and monitor project quality plans and related QA/QC procedures.
• Inspect construction activities and assess completed work against specifications, approved methods and quality requirements.
• Conduct site audits and quality assessments, recording findings and following up on outstanding actions.
• Review and manage quality records, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate quality requirements and inspection activities with project staff, consultants and contractors.
• Identify non-conforming work, support investigation of its causes and track corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor compliance with project quality standards and keep documentation current throughout construction.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Eight to ten years of relevant experience on construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of construction QA/QC procedures and quality management.
• Experience developing or implementing Project Quality Plans and monitoring their application on site.
• Familiarity with ITPs, method statements, MIRs, WIRs and NCRs.
• Practical experience conducting inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
• Clear communication and coordination skills for working across project teams and external parties.
• Availability to join immediately or after a short notice period is preferred.
