Role Overview
As Senior Network & Security Engineer, you will design, operate, and troubleshoot the enterprise network, covering Cisco routing and SD-WAN, FortiGate security, F5 web application protection, and Cisco voice services. Your work will help keep business connectivity dependable while protecting network traffic and applications across the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy, and support enterprise network and security infrastructure, balancing availability, performance, and protection.
- Configure and maintain Cisco Viptela SD-WAN components, including vManage, vSmart, and vBond, alongside routing and switching services.
- Manage Cisco network protocols and configurations such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and HSRP or VRRP.
- Administer FortiGate firewalls, VPN connections, NAT, UTM features, and high-availability configurations.
- Build, maintain, and tune F5 WAF/ASM policies to protect web applications.
- Support Cisco CUCM voice services, including call routing, dial plans, gateways, and fault diagnosis.
- Monitor network health, investigate complex incidents, and resolve issues involving connectivity, security, or service performance.
- Coordinate with technical colleagues to deliver network changes and solutions that meet enterprise requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and network security.
- Strong practical knowledge of Cisco Viptela SD-WAN and its vManage, vSmart, and vBond components.
- Experience with Cisco routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, and HSRP or VRRP.
- Demonstrated ability to configure and support FortiGate firewalls, VPN, NAT, UTM, and HA solutions.
- Hands-on experience configuring, managing, and optimizing F5 WAF/ASM policies.
- Experience supporting Cisco CUCM, including call routing, dial plans, gateways, and troubleshooting.
- Sound understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, enterprise networking, and network security.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is indicated; this qualification is estimated.
- Additional experience with Palo Alto, AWS networking, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Python, Ansible, or Splunk is preferred.
