Royal American School is looking for an IT Support professional to join its IT Department and provide technical assistance to teachers, students, and administrative staff. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and experience managing IT systems, hardware, and network infrastructure.
The role involves maintaining school technology systems, supporting classroom equipment, managing user accounts, and ensuring smooth operation of IT services. The candidate should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced educational environment while handling multiple technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to teachers, students, and administrative staff for IT-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and maintain computers, laptops, printers, smart boards, and other IT equipment.
• Manage and maintain school networks, Wi-Fi systems, switches, and access points.
• Support educational platforms and school IT systems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams.
• Assist with classroom technology setup and ensure all IT equipment remains operational.
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Maintain IT inventory records and equipment documentation.
• Support IT security practices, backups, and basic cybersecurity requirements.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers when required.
• Provide technical assistance during examinations, assessments, and school events.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Previous IT support experience, preferably in a school or educational environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of:
• Windows operating systems.
• Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams.
• Networking, printers, and classroom technology.
• Network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, switches, and basic firewall configuration.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English language.
