Job Description
Key Requirements
- Financial Planning & Strategy: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making.
- Reporting & Performance Analysis: Prepare monthly financial and cash flow reports, while analysing avocado sales, harvest data, and overall business performance.
- Operational & Packhouse Oversight: Monitor expenditure, drive cost efficiencies, and evaluate the performance of the packing facility.
- Accounting & Audit: Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, management accounts preparation, and coordinate the audit process.
- Systems & Process Improvement: Support the implementation and optimization of the ERP system, while strengthening financial processes and controls.
- Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Develop and mentor the finance team, partner with senior management and shareholders, and ensure strong governance and compliance standards.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, with a professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA).
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance, including at least 3 years in a similar leadership role.
- Strong systems capability, including advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and accounting software.
- Prior experience in agriculture, retail, or distribution is an added advantage.
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, act independently, and uphold high levels of integrity.
