Description:
SYNTEX Electromechanical Contracting LLC is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Abu Dhabi. The role requires strong expertise in accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance within a structured corporate environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting management in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations across the organization
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and financial regulations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Monitor budgets, control expenses, and support financial forecasting
• Handle payroll processing in compliance with UAE labor laws
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow records
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare VAT returns and coordinate with external auditors during audits
• Develop and implement internal financial controls and policies
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management
• Supervise junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure financial record integrity
• Support management in financial planning and decision-making processes
Requirements:
• Proven experience working as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Hands-on experience with VAT, audits, and UAE compliance requirements
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
