Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of design sensibility and commercial drive, where every project begins with a conversation about how a space should feel and ends with a delivered piece of custom furniture that meets that vision. Day to day, you will consult with residential and commercial clients, translate their lifestyle or brand needs into tailored product proposals, and coordinate with in-house designers and production specialists to keep projects moving from concept to installation. Your work directly shapes the studio’s revenue stream and reputation, making you a key player in both client satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client consultations to uncover functional needs, aesthetic preferences, and spatial constraints, then convert those insights into detailed custom furniture proposals with material, finish, and dimension options.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial inquiry through quote, negotiation, order confirmation, and post-delivery follow-up to ensure a seamless experience.
- Collaborate with design and production teams early in the process to validate feasibility, flag technical considerations, and set accurate timelines for manufacturing and delivery.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of residential and commercial prospects through proactive outreach, networking, and referrals, while nurturing existing accounts for repeat business.
- Track individual and team sales metrics, maintain accurate records in the CRM, and prepare periodic performance summaries with actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Represent the brand at industry exhibitions, design showcases, and client events, presenting collections and custom capabilities to broad audiences.
- Partner with marketing on promotional initiatives, providing input on customer preferences, market trends, and product gaps that inform future offerings.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a closely related field; a background in sales is a plus but not mandatory.
- 3–5 years of practical sales experience in furniture, interior design, luxury goods, or another design-led industry where consultative selling is central.
- Solid grasp of design fundamentals, including space planning, proportion, material behavior, and finish compatibility, with the ability to articulate these concepts to clients clearly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confident presentation abilities for one-on-one client meetings and larger group settings.
- Working proficiency with standard office tools, CRM platforms, and design software such as Canva, SketchUp, or comparable applications.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects, shifting priorities, and diverse client expectations without losing attention to detail.
- A genuine appreciation for craftsmanship and design quality, paired with a customer-first approach to problem solving.
What We Offer / Why Join
- A competitive base salary complemented by performance-based incentives that reward both revenue achievement and client satisfaction.
- Real opportunities for professional development, including exposure to creative collaboration across design, production, and leadership teams.
- A lively, design-centric workplace where your ideas on style and client experience are valued beyond just closing deals.
- Employee discounts on custom furniture, making it easier to live and breathe the brand.
- Access to industry events, workshops, and training sessions that keep your skills and network sharp.
