Role Overview
The Business Development Executive turns showroom visits, referrals, and outreach into sales, while building relationships with customers and business partners. You will manage opportunities from first conversation through agreement and work with customer success, showroom, and logistics teams to ensure orders reflect client requirements and progress toward delivery on time.
The role also helps grow future demand by developing new customer segments, keeping up with market activity, and sharing client insights that can inform product and service improvements.

- Find and approach prospective clients in interior design, architecture, real estate, and corporate procurement through networking and targeted outreach.
- Qualify and follow up on leads from showroom visits, social media, referrals, and marketing campaigns, moving suitable prospects toward purchase.
- Develop and present tailored quotations, proposals, and product presentations, then negotiate terms and guide opportunities through to agreement.
- Maintain complete, up-to-date CRM records for leads, client requirements, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
- Coordinate with customer success, showroom operations, and logistics to confirm order details, support onboarding, monitor delivery progress, and address emerging issues.
- Maintain existing client relationships, encourage repeat business and referrals, track feedback, and raise concerns with the appropriate teams.
- Conduct client-site consultations when needed, support promotions and events, maintain effective showroom displays, and share market and customer insights with management and product development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in business development or showroom sales; experience with furniture, interior products, or home improvement is preferred.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to generate and convert leads, present sales proposals, negotiate, and manage a sales pipeline.
- Confident using CRM systems to maintain opportunity records and organise timely follow-up.
- Strong client-needs analysis and product-advisory skills, with the ability to explain product features, customisation, and design choices.
- Clear, professional communication and a personable approach to building customer relationships.
- Well-organised and proactive, able to coordinate across teams, manage competing priorities, and resolve problems as they arise.
- A CRM or sales certification is preferred. Customer-service or interior-solutions training is an advantage.
