Role Overview
This internship places two ambitious individuals inside a lively property development office along the Kamakis–Ruiru corridor, where they will learn the full cycle of selling residential plots. Day to day, you will hunt for interested land buyers through phone calls, WhatsApp messages, social media, and outdoor events; support site visits; keep client records tidy; and work alongside the Sales Manager to move prospects towards deposit payment. Your efforts will help keep a steady pipeline of qualified leads for the developers and provide potential clients with a professional, welcoming experience that converts enquiries into reservations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source prospective plot buyers using a mix of personal referrals, social media outreach, telemarketing, and community-based networking activities near Ruiru and the Eastern Bypass.
- Manage incoming property enquiries via calls, WhatsApp, SMS, and social media replies, responding quickly and professionally to build trust.
- Qualify each lead by understanding budget, preferred plot size, payment flexibility, and use intent; record all details accurately in the company's CRM/database.
- Share clear information about plot dimensions, pricing structures, installment plans, and the amenities available at the development.
- Coordinate and confirm attendance for weekly weekend site visits, supporting logistics so buyers can arrive at scheduled times.
- Accompany clients during plot viewings, answer on-site questions about boundaries, accessibility, utilities, and title status, and guide them through registration forms.
- Prepare and issue basic sales paperwork including price quotes, reservation forms, and installment schedules; follow up on outstanding deposit confirmations.
- Take part in roadshows, property expos, and promotional activations, distribute printed collateral, and contribute to social media content that showcases the development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently completed a diploma or bachelor's degree in sales & marketing, business administration, real estate, commerce, or a related discipline.
- Open to current students seeking an industrial attachment or recent graduates ready for full-time internship duty.
- Basic comfort with social media platforms, WhatsApp Business, and digital communication tools is an advantage.
- Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle first-time property buyers confidently.
- Organised and disciplined, able to keep clear call logs, follow up daily leads, and maintain accurate records.
- Energetic, target-driven, and comfortable working out in the field, including on weekends when site visits are scheduled.
- Candidates currently living near Kamakis, Ruiru, Eastern Bypass, or Thika Road will be considered first because of the fieldwork nature of the role.
What We Offer / Why Join
- Monthly stipend of KSh 15,000 plus a sales commission structure that rewards successful conversions.
- Direct exposure to real estate transactions, buyer psychology, and negotiation practice under an experienced Sales Manager.
- A chance to transition from classroom theory to practical selling and marketing, building a portfolio of skills valued by property firms.
