Role Overview
This role leads a multi-layered field sales team to hit unit sales targets across both affordable housing and marketplace product lines. Day to day, the manager sets weekly and monthly activity goals, reviews CRM data with team leaders, and coordinates national activation events while expanding the pipeline through institutional partnerships. Success here directly drives the company's volume of signed agreements and market share in Kenya’s affordable housing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly and annual unit sales targets for affordable housing and marketplace portfolios, ensuring offer letters and sale agreements are executed on schedule.
- Directly manage two Team Leaders and two Outreach Officers, conducting weekly pipeline reviews and monthly one-on-one performance coaching.
- Design and roll out a national sales and activations calendar in partnership with the Outreach Officer – Activations and the marketing team.
- Build and sustain a network of institutional partners — including SACCOs, employers, estate agents, and county referral programmes — via the Outreach Officer – Agents/Branches/Partnerships.
- Maintain CRM data quality across all Property Advisors, escalating compliance issues immediately and enforcing daily discipline.
- Submit a weekly national sales pipeline report to the Head of Digital Property Business every end of week.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and performance exits of Property Advisors with HR to keep the field force at planned strength.
- Embed cross-group synergies by ensuring every sales interaction includes HFC Bank account openings, mortgage pre-qualification, and insurance cross-sell opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of field sales or commercial experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a sales management or team leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead a multi-team field sales force to consistently exceed collective targets, ideally in real estate, banking, insurance, or FMCG.
- Strong existing network of institutional partners (SACCOs, employers, estate agents) and county-level contacts.
- Experience administering a CRM system and managing pipelines at team or national level.
- Membership in or willingness to join the Estate Agents Registration Board (EARB).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with CRM apps, WhatsApp Business, and digital reporting tools.
- Valid driving licence and mobile-first working style.
