Role Overview
This internship places a recent graduate inside a working aviation environment, where the day-to-day focus is supporting a designated team with research, documentation, coordination and analysis rather than observing from the sidelines. You will take on real assignments that feed into ongoing projects and decisions, while building a practical understanding of how the sector operates, how it is regulated and how its different functions connect. The role exists to give emerging talent a structured first step into aviation while adding genuine capacity to the team you join.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out desk research and background reviews on topics relevant to your assigned unit, summarising findings clearly for colleagues who need them.
- Collect, organise and, where appropriate, analyse data or information, and present it in formats such as spreadsheets, briefing notes or short summaries.
- Draft and edit working documents, presentations, reports and correspondence for review by the supervising officer.
- Support the planning and running of meetings, workshops, briefings or events, including preparing materials, circulating invitations and taking notes.
- Maintain files, records and trackers so that project information stays accurate, current and easy to retrieve.
- Respond to routine queries and follow up on action points with colleagues to keep assignments moving on schedule.
- Work alongside staff across different functions and contribute to team discussions, sharing observations and asking questions that sharpen the work.
- Complete other agreed tasks that support the unit's priorities and that match your skills and learning objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A university degree awarded within the last four years.
- The degree must be relevant to the technical or functional area of the internship you are applying for.
- Additional professional qualifications, certifications or training related to the field are an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain information accurately and concisely.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, including listening, sharing credit and supporting colleagues to meet shared deadlines.
- Learning agility — the capacity to absorb new material quickly, take on feedback and adjust your approach as priorities shift.
- Professionalism in conduct, timekeeping, confidentiality and respect for workplace norms and cultural diversity.
- Demonstrated interest in the aviation industry, whether through study, projects, volunteering or personal initiative, is an advantage.
