Job Description

Role Overview

The Head of Business Development & Growth will shape and lead the company’s commercial growth across marketing, revenue, data, and business development. Working across the full customer and sales journey, this leader will turn performance insights into plans that grow bookings, strengthen client relationships, expand the property portfolio, and improve revenue. The role reports forecasts and significant commercial risks to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create annual and quarterly growth plans, translate company priorities and budgets into measurable targets, and track results across revenue, occupancy, lead conversion, partnerships, and portfolio expansion.
  • Manage the sales funnel from initial lead generation through conversion, repeat business, and retention; review performance data, identify shortfalls, and recommend corrective action to the CEO.
  • Direct brand visibility, customer acquisition, SEO implementation, and marketing campaigns, assessing their contribution to bookings, occupancy, client growth, and acquisition costs.
  • Set and monitor commercial targets for revenue, occupancy, Average Daily Rate (ADR), Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR), and distribution channels; adjust pricing and promotions to reflect demand, seasonality, and market conditions.
  • Assess booking patterns, forecasts, and property-level results, then develop recovery plans for underperforming units and actions to improve portfolio returns.
  • Build commercial relationships with corporate organisations, NGOs, relocation agencies, property agents, landlords, developers, and other potential partners; lead pitches, negotiations, and high-value agreements.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to bring in new properties, clients, units, partnerships, locations, and customer segments, setting and tracking targets for leads, signed agreements, and portfolio growth.
  • Improve retention, renewals, repeat bookings, referrals, and additional client revenue by using customer feedback and lost opportunities to refine the offering; coordinate growth teams around shared priorities and address cross-functional issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Hospitality, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience, including 3–4 years working within a marketing agency.
  • Leadership experience in business development, sales, marketing, revenue management, commercial growth, or a closely related area.
  • Track record of turning marketing and commercial plans into measurable results and delivering revenue growth.
  • Strong sales pipeline management, performance analysis, forecasting, and growth-planning skills.
  • Experience in hospitality, property management, real estate, or serviced apartments is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence stakeholders, and secure significant commercial agreements.
  • Capability in strategic planning, commercial decision-making, customer acquisition and retention, partnership development, team leadership, and data-informed problem-solving.
