Internal Communications Officer

Role Overview

In this internal communications role, you’ll help colleagues across a global organisation understand its priorities, change programmes and wider impact. You’ll work with teams throughout the organisation to shape useful communications, create engaging content and support events that keep employees informed and connected.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders to turn organisational strategy, change and transformation into clear communications for global audiences.
• Help plan and deliver communications for major initiatives and programmes, advising colleagues on effective approaches.
• Write and edit engaging content, and produce straightforward video materials for internal audiences.
• Coordinate the global internal communications calendar across multiple channels.
• Support the planning and delivery of global employee events and town halls.
• Maintain and improve internal communications channels, using colleague feedback and performance data to strengthen reach and engagement.
• Promote inclusive, ethical and purpose-led storytelling in communications.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience in internal communications, employee engagement or organisational communications, ideally in a complex or changing environment.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling abilities, including the skill to make complex information accessible to different audiences.
• Practical experience creating graphics and recording and editing video.
• Experience working with content management systems and email or marketing platforms.
• Experience developing and delivering internal events or town halls.
• Confident stakeholder engagement, relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Understanding of global organisations and the need to adapt communications for local audiences while maintaining a consistent global approach.
• Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and work both independently and collaboratively.
