Role Overview
This position places you at the heart of an educational institution's growth efforts, where you will lead the sales and marketing function that directly influences student enrolment and brand reputation. Your day-to-day work combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution—guiding your team, launching campaigns, meeting with families and partners, and using performance data to refine what works. The role matters because every decision you make helps the institution attract the right students, build trust in its brand, and achieve sustainable expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated sales, marketing, branding, and business-development strategies that raise visibility, drive student enrolment, and support long-term organisational growth.
- Plan and execute advertising, promotional, and digital-marketing campaigns across multiple channels to generate interest and convert prospects into enrolled students.
- Lead, coach, and manage the sales and marketing team—setting clear departmental targets, providing regular training, and managing performance to ensure goals are consistently met.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with students, parents, clients, and strategic partners to improve satisfaction, encourage referrals, and uncover new business opportunities.
- Oversee the departmental budget, monitor campaign and sales performance, and prepare concise reports for management to inform strategic decisions.
- Work closely with senior leadership on continuous-improvement initiatives, identifying more effective sales processes, sharper marketing messaging, and better customer experiences.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to track enrolment trends and adjust strategies to remain relevant in a changing education sector.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree will be considered an added advantage.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience, with proven expertise in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies that deliver measurable growth.
- Strong working knowledge of customer relationship management, sales pipeline management, market research, and sales reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-engagement skills, with the ability to build and sustain strong professional relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including team coaching, performance management, and the ability to motivate others toward shared targets.
What We Offer / Why Join
The successful candidate will receive a gross monthly salary of KSH 130,000. This is also a senior leadership opportunity to take real ownership of an institution's growth strategy, shape how it is perceived in the community, and make a visible impact on the number of students it serves.
