Role Overview
This position is central to expanding the company's footprint in a defined geographic region. The sales manager leads a team of agents, turning territory intelligence and customer insight into a practical plan that consistently delivers on revenue goals. Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive regional sales plan that maps account ownership, territory coverage, and prospecting priorities to ensure no opportunity goes unattended.
- Lead and supervise a team of sales agents, setting individual targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching to raise overall team effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers while identifying new accounts and converting leads into long-term business partnerships.
- Track market developments, competitor moves, and customer preferences, using those insights to adjust sales tactics and uncover new product or service opportunities.
- Act as the escalation point for complex customer complaints and enquiries, ensuring quality standards and service expectations are consistently met.
- Work with technical teams to communicate relevant telecom solutions to customers and keep the sales force informed on product updates and industry trends.
- Review regional sales data, recommend improvements to systems and processes, and implement changes that drive efficiency and revenue growth.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by generating, following up on, and nurturing new business leads across the region.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A degree in a business-related discipline such as marketing, sales, BBIT, or a comparable field.
- A minimum of five to six years of direct sales experience in a competitive commercial environment.
- At least three years in a supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to manage a sales team in a busy operational setting.
- A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving a team to deliver measurable results.
- Relevant experience within the telecommunications industry and a solid grasp of its products, technologies, and customer expectations.
- Hands-on proficiency with CRM software and the Microsoft Office suite for tracking, reporting, and planning.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to interpret market signals and make sound commercial decisions.
