Role Overview
This position is the engine behind building and sustaining a high-performing call center team. You will own the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing and interviewing through onboarding—while also ensuring that workforce planning keeps pace with shifting operational demand. Your ability to move quickly, keep candidates engaged, and coordinate smoothly with project leadership will directly determine whether the operation stays fully staffed and ready to serve customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end hiring for call center agents, developing sourcing strategies that align with current and projected staffing targets.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline using job boards, social media channels, networking events, and partnerships with local organizations or training providers.
- Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and key stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned and the process moves without unnecessary delays.
- Complete pre-hire screening activities, including reference verification and any other risk assessment checks required by company policy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system, including status updates and communication history at every stage of the process.
- Manage candidate expectations and deliver timely feedback after interviews, creating a respectful experience that keeps your employer attractive to future applicants.
- Lead the onboarding workflow for new hires, working with trainers and team leads to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to productive work on the floor.
- Use interview insights to flag skill gaps and recommend learning opportunities that support the long-term development of call center employees.
- Prepare and present recruitment progress reports, tracking metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and offer acceptance rates for management review.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or another business-related discipline.
- At least three years of experience in high-volume recruiting, ideally within a call center, customer service, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work within Pacific Time Zone business hours when needed to coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders.
- Hands-on proficiency with applicant tracking systems and other recruitment platforms, including sourcing tools and reporting functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and internal leaders alike.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple openings simultaneously while remaining attentive to detail.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting.
