Quality Assurance Specialist – Automotive
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced quality assurance professional to oversee the final inspection and certification of all vehicles before customer delivery. In this role, you will ensure that every vehicle meets the organisation’s rigorous quality standards, safety regulations, and performance benchmarks. You will collaborate with production, engineering, and service teams to identify and resolve quality issues, driving continuous improvement across the workshop or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough final inspections of vehicles, verifying that all systems, components, and finishes comply with established quality specifications.
- Document inspection results clearly and prepare detailed quality reports for internal and customer use.
- Coordinate with production, body building, and engineering teams to rectify non-conformances and prevent recurring defects.
- Develop and update quality checklists, standard operating procedures, and testing protocols.
- Monitor workshop processes to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for quality deviations.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians and assemblers regarding quality expectations.
- Ensure all vehicles are certified and ready for timely, defect‑free delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- Relevant technical certification (e.g., ASE, IMI, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 7 years’ hands‑on experience in an automotive workshop environment, body building, or production setting.
Skills & Competencies
- Engineering design aptitude – ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Organisational & coordination skills – proven ability to manage multiple inspection tasks and liaise with cross‑functional teams.
- Report writing & documentation – clear and concise written communication for quality records and management summaries.
- Communication & presentation – effective verbal skills for training, feedback, and customer interaction.
- ICT skills – proficiency in quality management software, Microsoft Office, and diagnostic tools.
