Job Description

Role Overview

This position owns the full lifecycle of a major Oracle E-Business Suite re-implementation, replacing outdated configurations with a streamlined, integrated ERP environment spanning finance, manufacturing, supply chain, project accounting, HR, and warehousing. Day to day, you will be the central coordination point between functional leads, technical consultants, and business process owners, removing blockers, tracking delivery milestones, and ensuring every module is configured to meet operational realities. Your success matters because the entire organisation depends on accurate financial reporting, uninterrupted production planning, and clean handoffs between procurement, inventory, and order fulfilment—so a failed upgrade is not an option.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a single, realistic programme plan covering all Oracle EBS workstreams, from blueprinting through hypercare, and track progress daily against time, cost, and quality baselines.
  • Run steering committee updates and executive briefings that translate technical status into business-ready language, highlighting critical decisions, budget variances, and go-live readiness.
  • Act as the escalation point for cross-module design conflicts, particularly between Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance, and drive resolution with implementation partners and internal SMEs.
  • Plan and govern data migration strategies, integration development, user acceptance testing cycles, cutover rehearsals, and the final production switchover, including rollback procedures.
  • Lead change management activities so that finance, warehouse, and production teams adopt new workflows, with targeted training plans and post-go-live support structures.
  • Manage contracts and deliverables from third-party consultants, holding vendors accountable for scope adherence and ensuring their resources are deployed where they create most value.
  • Monitor and mitigate programme risks—technical, organisational, and vendor-related—by maintaining an up-to-date risk log and owning contingency actions rather than delegating them away.
  • Confirm that all Oracle modules are implemented in a way that meets audit, tax, and regulatory requirements, and that approvals and segregation of duties are baked into system configuration.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of project or programme management experience specifically delivering Oracle EBS implementations or major upgrades within a manufacturing environment; more senior experience is expected for a role of this scale.
  • Hands-on understanding of Oracle EBS modules across General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management, MRP, Process Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, Core HRMS, and Oracle Projects.
  • Proven ability to coordinate workstreams involving Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehousing, and HR, balancing competing priorities and conflicting timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA is strongly preferred for the strategic communication and financial acumen this role requires.
  • Professional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) plus an Oracle certification relevant to EBS or a related cloud product.
  • Strong vendor and partner management experience, including managing fixed-bid and time-and-materials contracts, quality review processes, and issue resolution.
  • Excellent stakeholder and change management skills, with a track record of helping business users move from legacy processes to new Oracle functionality without productivity loss.
  • Financial literacy sufficient to read cost reports, forecast spend, and challenge implementation partner estimates with confidence.
