Role Overview
You will be accountable for the complete day-to-day running of one production unit, from shift planning and workflow coordination to quality, safety, and cost control. Your work directly determines whether the plant meets its output commitments on time, within specification, and without unnecessary waste or downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise production operators and team leaders, assigning tasks, setting daily priorities, and ensuring shifts run to plan.
- Monitor production output in real time against targets, investigating variances and implementing corrective actions when performance slips.
- Enforce strict adherence to 6S standards, housekeeping routines, and workplace discipline across the unit.
- Own material and stock control within your area, including raw material usage, work-in-progress, finished goods, and reconciliation of inventory records.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean or Six Sigma tools to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and raise overall equipment effectiveness.
- Ensure all products meet established quality specifications, coordinating with quality assurance teams on inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Develop your team through coaching, performance reviews, and structured training, building a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and reports, using Excel and production systems to track KPIs and support management decisions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial Technology, Food Science/Technology, or another relevant technical field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least some time spent in a supervisory or team-leading capacity.
- Proven ability to lead a team, manage conflict, and consistently hit production targets.
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, plus familiarity with production reporting or data entry systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a disciplined, structured approach to managing a fast-paced production floor.
