Description:

Openly is seeking a Process Design Specialist II to join its remote Claims organization. This role is ideal for a proactive and analytical professional who enjoys improving workflows, solving operational challenges, and creating efficient processes that support business growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with claims teams, stakeholders, and business partners to analyze existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, manage projects, and develop solutions that enhance operational performance. This position requires strong process design skills, technology awareness, and the ability to influence teams through collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, plan, and implement projects by analyzing project goals, scope, and objectives.

• Manage multiple projects and initiatives while ensuring timely completion.

• Collaborate with claims teams and stakeholders to communicate project updates, timelines, and deliverables.

• Conduct root-cause analysis to identify operational challenges and develop effective solutions.

• Review existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

• Create updated processes, procedures, documentation, and process maps.

• Lead process improvement sessions and support workflow optimization initiatives.

• Analyze data, track KPIs, and prepare reports and presentations on process performance.

• Influence and support teams by promoting new processes, tools, and training initiatives.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of property claims experience with strong knowledge of the claims lifecycle.

• Experience with FNOL, policy review, investigations, coverage decisions, evaluations, and settlements.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

• Willingness to learn process improvement methodologies and project management practices.

• Comfortable working with technology, software tools, and AI-powered solutions.

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

• Strong knowledge of:

 • Process mapping and workflow improvement

 • Root-cause analysis and operational problem-solving

 • Claims operations and insurance processes

 • Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project management, and documentation tools

 • Data analysis, reporting, and KPI tracking

Preferred Skills:

• Lean Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement qualification.

• Experience in change management or training delivery.

• Experience improving catastrophe claims processes or system optimization.

• Ability to facilitate virtual meetings and training sessions.

• Strong understanding of business strategy and managing complex projects.
