Job Title: Medical Specialist – Clinical Advisor
Job Overview
This role entails evaluating complex medical cases, interpreting clinical data, and providing expert guidance on patient care strategies, regulatory compliance, and health policy. The position also includes supervising and mentoring the clinical practice of other healthcare professionals within their area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex medical cases and interpret clinical data to develop patient care strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance and health policy matters.
- Supervise and mentor the clinical practice of other healthcare professionals within the area of expertise.
- Contribute to documentation, reporting, and the application of healthcare policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master of Medicine in the required field.
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB or MBBS).
- At least two (2) years of postgraduate work experience or documented evidence of supervision by a senior specialist.
- Registered as a specialist with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems.
