Role Overview
This role places you at the heart of the patient journey within a busy Dubai healthcare provider. Day to day, you will be the first and most consistent point of contact for patients and their families, guiding them through appointments, resolving concerns, and coordinating with clinical and administrative teams to ensure every interaction feels supportive and professional. Your work directly influences patient satisfaction and retention, making you a vital link between the medical staff and the community they serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients upon arrival, verifying personal and insurance details to ensure a smooth check‑in process.
- Handle inbound patient calls and messages, providing clear information about services, procedures, appointment availability, and pre‑visit requirements.
- Liaise with nurses, doctors, and back‑office staff to streamline patient flow, reduce wait times, and address any scheduling conflicts.
- Triage and escalate patient complaints or feedback to the appropriate department, then follow up to confirm resolution and maintain trust.
- Update and maintain accurate electronic patient records in compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Support the front desk and patient relations teams with administrative tasks such as appointment confirmations, reminder calls, and documentation of patient interactions.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the patient experience, such as simplifying check‑in procedures or enhancing waiting area communication.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a closely related field.
- Minimum two years of hands‑on experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare setting, with direct patient contact responsibility.
- Proven ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously while maintaining a calm, professional demeanour under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Familiarity with patient relationship management principles, including appointment systems, complaint handling, and service recovery.
- Detail‑oriented approach to record‑keeping and a solid understanding of healthcare confidentiality regulations.
- Immediate availability to join is preferred due to the fast‑paced nature of the role.
