We are seeking a creative and disciplined Pastry Chef / Baker to drive the daily production of high-quality confectionery and baked goods. Your primary objective is to execute established recipes with absolute precision while maintaining high standards of visual presentation. From scaling ingredients and monitoring specialized ovens to frosting custom cakes and managing inventory, you will ensure our display cases remain fully stocked with fresh, appealing choices. Operating within a busy airport ecosystem, this role requires exceptional time management, an eye for detail, and strict compliance with food safety protocols.
Core Workstreams
Culinary Production & Design

Bake a diverse catalog of products including breads, pastries, donuts, muffins, and artisan desserts according to specification.

Prepare base components such as specialized fillings, glazes, icings, and gourmet sauces from scratch.

Apply creative decoration techniques to cakes and individual desserts to guarantee consistent market appeal.

Adjust baking schedules, oven temperatures, and proofing times based on daily volume demands.
Kitchen Governance & Food Safety

Maintain sterile work environments, storage areas, and baking equipment in strict accordance with food safety regulations.

Audit incoming ingredients for absolute freshness and systematically rotate stock to minimize waste.

Monitor the mechanical performance of industrial mixers, slicers, and proofers, reporting maintenance issues early.

Conduct precise stock-takes and communicate raw material deficits to the supervisor to prevent production gaps.
Operational Synergy

Collaborate with the kitchen crew to fulfil large customer orders promptly during peak transit hours.

Pitch innovative design concepts and flavour combinations for seasonal menus and holiday promotions.

Adapt to flexible shift patterns, including weekends and holidays, to support continuous airport operations.

The Essentials

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of active experience in a high-volume hotel, commercial bakery, supermarket, or café kitchen.

Domain Skills: Proven competence in scratch-baking, structural dessert assembly, and modern pastry presentation.

Compliance: Solid grounding in standard culinary hygiene and safe industrial equipment handling.
