Description:
Star Services is currently recruiting skilled and experienced Panel Operators for a major industrial project based in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for professionals who have hands-on experience in Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant operations and are proficient in managing control room systems within a petrochemical or gas-based industrial environment.
The position requires candidates who can efficiently monitor plant processes, ensure operational safety, and maintain high standards of performance through advanced control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor control panels for DRI plant processes to ensure smooth and continuous production
• Manage and supervise control room operations using advanced automation systems
• Interpret and work with P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams)
• Ensure strict adherence to process safety standards and operational protocols
• Identify and respond to system abnormalities, alarms, and operational issues in a timely manner
• Coordinate with field operators and technical teams to maintain process efficiency
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and operational records
Requirements:
• Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Science
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in DRI plant operations, preferably in Tenova HYL technology
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens, Honeywell, or Yokogawa control systems
• Solid understanding of industrial process diagrams, plant systems, and safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure industrial environment
Important Notes:
• Only candidates who meet the mandatory technical criteria will be considered
• Prior experience in gas-based DRI operations is highly preferred
