Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic devices using component diagrams, technical instructions, and standard work procedures.
- Position and fit circuit boards, screens, ribbon cables, micro-components, and casings as products move through the line.
- Inspect parts and completed units for missing components, poor alignment, loose connections, and visible damage.
- Stop work and notify a supervisor when you encounter a significant defect, faulty equipment, or a safety concern.
- Pack inspected devices with their accessories and user documentation for warehousing or dispatch.
- Use hand tools and assembly equipment safely, and keep your workstation clean, organized, and protected from electrostatic discharge.
- Record production output, component use, defects, waste, and recurring faults in shift documentation.
- Coordinate with line leads, material handlers, and quality inspectors to maintain workflow and meet production targets without compromising inspection standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Practical experience in mobile phone assembly, television manufacturing, circuit board assembly, or repair of electronic devices at bench level.
- Basic knowledge of printed circuit boards, electronic components, wire harnesses, and electrostatic-discharge precautions.
- Ability to follow technical assembly instructions and carry out systematic checks for defects.
- Strong fine-motor control, steady hand-eye coordination, and care when handling delicate components.
- Capacity to maintain concentration, pace, and consistent workmanship in a fast-moving production environment.
