Role Overview
This role sits at the centre of day-to-day operations, making sure the organisation runs without friction. You will be the person who watches how work flows through teams, spots bottlenecks, and turns messy routines into clear, repeatable processes. Your focus is on practical execution: keeping people aligned, resources in the right place, and daily activities moving forward so that broader business goals stay on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily operational activities across departments to ensure consistent workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Map existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical improvements that reduce delays and errors.
- Act as the central point of contact between teams, facilitating clear communication and resolving cross-functional friction.
- Monitor operational performance against key indicators, preparing regular reports for leadership on progress and risks.
- Allocate resources — including staff time, tools, and materials — to match shifting priorities without overburdening any one team.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, ensuring all team members follow agreed-upon workflows.
- Anticipate operational interruptions and put contingency plans in place to keep business activities running during disruptions.
- Support the onboarding and training of new staff on operational systems and expectations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in operations management, business administration, or a similar coordination-heavy role.
- A degree or diploma in business administration, management, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to improve processes using structured methods — for example, workflow mapping, root-cause analysis, or lean principles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in presenting reports to senior stakeholders.
- Practical proficiency with productivity and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, or project management software.
- A problem-solving mindset that stays calm under pressure and focuses on actionable solutions rather than blame.
