Description:
Platinum Inc Consultancy is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Operations Manager specializing in Oilfield Drilling Waste to oversee operations for projects based in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive industry experience who can manage large-scale operations, lead teams, and ensure both operational efficiency and financial performance.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end operational activities, maintaining profitability, and ensuring compliance with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage operations within the oilfield drilling waste sector, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards
• Take full ownership of project P&L, ensuring alignment with budgets and financial targets
• Conduct monthly P&L reviews with senior management including Service Delivery Manager, VP Finance, and General Manager
• Analyze financial performance, explain variances, and implement cost optimization and efficiency initiatives
• Ensure timely communication with leadership in case of unexpected shutdowns, equipment failures, or personnel-related issues
• Monitor and evaluate both operational and financial performance of ongoing projects regularly
• Provide accurate forecasts, technical insights, and operational data to support finance teams, tenders, and client inquiries
• Maintain daily operational reports, trackers, and dashboards with a high level of accuracy
• Prepare and submit monthly project sign-off sheets for personnel and equipment in line with contractual agreements, ensuring revenue optimization
• Ensure all HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) observations and findings are addressed and closed within defined timelines
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals to improve overall performance and efficiency
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations within the energy or oil & gas sector
• At least 8 years of supervisory or team management experience
• Strong knowledge of oilfield drilling waste management services and operations
• Experience in customer service, leadership, supply chain, and logistics
• Proven ability to manage financials, operations, and cross-functional teams effectively
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
