Our client, a dynamic shipping and logistics provider specializing in global import and export solutions, is seeking an Operations Manager with a technical background in logistics. This role is the central link in the supply chain, responsible for synchronizing transportation, warehousing, and shipment consolidation. Your mission is to maximize space utilization and minimize operational costs while ensuring every shipment meets its delivery deadline. The ideal candidate is a disciplined leader who can manage high-volume warehouse activities and coordinate complex logistics schedules with precision and accountability.

Key Areas of Responsibility

End-to-End Operational Oversight

• Direct the full lifecycle of logistics operations, from the initial receipt of cargo to final last-mile distribution.

• Architect cargo consolidation plans to optimize container/truck space utilization, directly impacting the bottom line through cost reduction.

• Plan and synchronize inbound and outbound shipment schedules to prevent bottlenecks at the warehouse and transit points.

• Ensure all operational activities strictly adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and industry best practices.

Warehouse & Inventory Command

• Supervise all warehouse functions, including sorting, storage, consolidation, and secure dispatch of goods.

• Implement and monitor tracking systems to ensure 100% accuracy in inventory records and cargo movement.

• Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness within the facility to promote safety and operational efficiency.

• Audit all operational documentation to ensure compliance with customs and transport regulations.

Leadership & Stakeholder Integration

• Lead and motivate a diverse operational team, setting clear productivity targets and fostering a culture of accountability.

• Act as the primary liaison between clients, transport providers, and internal departments to resolve operational queries swiftly.

• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that third-party transport resources are utilized efficiently and cost-effectively.

• Prepare comprehensive performance reports for management, tracking key metrics such as turnaround time and cost-per-shipment.

Process Optimization & Compliance

• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend data-driven process improvements to enhance service delivery.

• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies across all warehouse and transport functions.

• Monitor market trends and logistics innovations to keep the company’s operations competitive and scalable.

Requirements & Competencies

Professional Background

• Education: Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: 3–4 years of relevant experience in logistics, with a specific focus on warehousing or cargo consolidation.

• Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity is mandatory.
