Job Description

Position Title: Nurse (5 Vacancies)

Role Purpose

We are seeking five compassionate and clinically proficient Nurses to support the delivery of high-quality patient care within a busy medical environment. In this role, you will be a vital link in the clinical chain, responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments, executing precise treatment plans, and ensuring the safety and comfort of those under your care. We are looking for individuals who combine strong clinical judgment with a patient-focused approach, ensuring that every interaction meets the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Functional Responsibilities

Patient Assessment & Treatment Implementation

  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient evaluations, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.

  • Develop and implement customized nursing care plans in collaboration with the wider medical team.

  • Safely administer medications, injections, and specialized treatments in strict accordance with clinical guidelines.

  • Monitor patient progress, identifying and responding immediately to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.

  • Assist in minor clinical procedures and operate basic medical equipment used in daily patient care.

Documentation, Reporting & Quality Control

  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and strictly confidential patient records and nursing logs.

  • Ensure all nursing interventions and observations are documented to support ongoing clinical decision-making.

  • Prepare and submit required clinical reports within the established institutional timelines.

  • Participate in seamless shift handovers and clinic meetings to ensure continuity of care.

Safety, Hygiene & Patient Education

  • Strictly adhere to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols to maintain a sterile and safe environment.

  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and medication adherence.

  • Oversee the safe handling of medical waste and ensure the proper sterilization of clinical instruments.

  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients, fostering a compassionate healthcare experience.

Professional Requirements

Education & Licensing

  • Academic Background: Diploma in Nursing from a recognized and accredited training institution.

  • Professional Standing: Must hold a valid registration and a current practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.

Background & Competencies

  • Experience: 2–3 years of active working experience in a busy clinic or hospital setting.

  • Clinical Skills: Proven competence in medication administration, clinical procedures, and emergency response.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication with a compassionate, patient-first mindset.

  • Integrity: A high level of professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion.
