This role is critical to our supply chain, ensuring that products reach our clients safely and on schedule. You will be responsible for navigating the Nairobi road network efficiently, handling delicate cargo with care, and maintaining your assigned motorbike in top mechanical condition. The ideal candidate is a professional who takes pride in punctuality and provides excellent customer service during every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Distribution Execution

• Transport goods promptly and securely to various destinations within Nairobi and its environs.

• Strategically plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and bypass heavy traffic zones.

• Verify all dispatch documentation, including invoices, contact details, and physical inventory, before departing.

• Facilitate payment collections and issue formal receipts in accordance with company financial protocols.

• Secure customer signatures and proof-of-delivery (POD) for every successful drop-off.

Vehicle Care & Technical Readiness

• Perform mandatory daily inspections of the motorbike, checking fuel, oil levels, tires, brakes, and lighting systems.

• Ensure the motorbike remains clean and is presented for scheduled servicing to prevent mechanical downtime.

• Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery records for daily submission to the operations supervisor.

• Report any mechanical anomalies, traffic incidents, or delays immediately to ensure proactive resolution.

Safety & Professional Standards

• Operate the vehicle in strict adherence to all Kenyan traffic laws and internal safety policies.

• Act as a professional brand ambassador during all client interactions, ensuring a polite and helpful demeanor.

• Prioritize the safety of both the cargo and the public while navigating high-traffic areas.

Professional Background

• Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of verifiable experience working as a professional delivery rider.

• Geographic Literacy: Exceptional knowledge of Nairobi’s road networks, short-cuts, and various residential/commercial zones.

• Licensing: Must possess a valid riding license with a consistently clean driving record.

Essential Criteria

• Technical Responsibility: Ability to perform basic motorbike maintenance and ensure the security of delivered items.

• Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.

• Communication: Capable of maintaining clear records and communicating effectively with both the dispatch team and customers.

• Physical Fitness: Capability to handle the physical demands of all-day riding and loading/unloading goods.
