Job Title: Internal Medicine Physician
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients, diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, and contribute to the excellence of our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic internal medicine conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare policies.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB or MBBS) from a recognized university.
- Experience working in an Internal Medicine department; or demonstrated interest in pursuing Internal Medicine.
- Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- At least one (1) year internship experience in either a public or private hospital.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems.
Desirable Competencies
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
- Knowledge of the laws of Kenya, regulations, guidelines, and health schemes.
- Good report writing skills.
- Conversant with both public and private sectors.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- BLS and ACLS with leadership experience.
