Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Officer to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, and contributing to efficient patient management within a well-structured healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients in accordance with established medical protocols.
• Document patient medical records accurately and maintain strict confidentiality in line with healthcare policies.
• Utilize Health Management Information Systems for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
• Adhere to all applicable laws of Kenya, healthcare regulations, guidelines, and health schemes.
• Perform emergency procedures including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required.
• Participate in continuous medical education and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery from a recognized university (MBChB or MBBS).
• Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
• At least one (1) year internship experience in either a public or private hospital.
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems.

Desirable Competencies

• Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
• Knowledge of the laws of Kenya, regulations, guidelines, and health schemes.
• Good report writing skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
