Role Overview
This is an entry-level marketing role focused on supporting the team’s everyday operations across digital and traditional channels. You will work hands-on with social media accounts, content calendars, research tasks, and campaign logistics, helping to keep projects moving and ensuring that marketing efforts stay consistent and on-brand. Your contributions directly free up senior team members to focus on strategy, while you gain practical exposure to how marketing plans are built and executed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and scheduling social media posts across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, ensuring timely publishing and consistent brand voice.
- Draft basic copy for posts, newsletters, blog articles, and promotional materials, then route drafts for review and revise based on feedback.
- Conduct market research on competitors, industry trends, and target audiences, compiling findings into clear summaries for the team to use in decision-making.
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns by preparing assets, tracking deliverables, coordinating internal reviews, and monitoring campaign timelines.
- Maintain and update content calendars, contact lists, and digital asset folders so everyone on the team can locate the latest files and deadlines.
- Monitor social media comments and messages, flagging engagement opportunities or issues to the relevant team member.
- Prepare performance reports by gathering raw data from social platforms and email tools, organizing it into spreadsheets or simple dashboards.
- Coordinate with outside vendors, printers, or freelancers on small tasks like booking ad space, ordering promotional items, or collecting quotes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of internship or entry-level experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field (relevant coursework or college projects can count).
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and an understanding of how to use them for business purposes, including basic analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to grammar, tone, and detail.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and at least one basic design or scheduling platform (e.g., Canva, Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite).
- Ability to manage multiple small tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, organized approach to problem-solving, plus a willingness to learn from feedback.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
