Job Description

Role Overview

This is a rare opportunity to step into the commercial driver’s seat of a fast-growing East African technology and security solutions company. As Marketing & Communications Lead, you will be the executive voice behind every campaign, press release, product launch, and corporate event across six countries — working directly with the CEO to turn complex B2B security and SaaS offerings into clear, compelling market messages. Your day-to-day rhythm spans high-level strategic planning, hands-on campaign execution, team management, and regional travel, with the ultimate goal of strengthening brand equity and feeding a healthy sales pipeline across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, and South Sudan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and drive integrated marketing, PR, and communications strategies that adapt to the unique dynamics of each East African market while protecting a cohesive regional brand identity.
  • Direct multi-brand positioning across digital, print, and corporate channels, ensuring every touchpoint reflects consistent messaging and commercial priorities.
  • Partner closely with sales and revenue leaders to align marketing campaigns with lead-generation targets and tangible business outcomes.
  • Own the regional marketing budget, allocating resources strategically and fine-tuning spend based on ROI analysis and campaign performance data.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of flagship corporate events, customer expos, product launches, and regional roadshows — from theme development and executive speaker coordination to vendor contract negotiation and post-event impact assessment.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with media houses, creative agencies, event suppliers, and ecosystem partners to expand brand reach and credibility.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the internal marketing team, keeping project delivery on time and on brand across all operating markets.
  • Monitor campaign KPIs, web analytics, and lead-generations metrics, translating insights into clear monthly reports for executive leadership.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3–4 years of hands-on experience leading and managing a marketing team, including accountability for delivery, deadlines, and team development.
  • Demonstrated success running marketing initiatives in a regional or multi-country environment — direct experience across East Africa is a strong advantage.
  • Background in technology, security systems, customer experience platforms, SaaS products, or other complex B2B offerings, with multi-brand oversight strongly preferred.
  • Working proficiency with several of the following: Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Zoho Campaigns, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, ClickUp, Jira, Google Analytics, CMS platforms, social media management tools, and SEO suites.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (advanced PowerPoint and Excel), plus comfort with collaboration platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, Slack, and Calendly.
  • Proven ability to switch between strategic thinking and on-the-ground execution, with polished written, verbal, and presentation skills suited to C-suite and partner audiences.
  • Analytical mindset that prioritizes data-driven decision-making and agile responses to shifting market conditions.

What We Offer / Why Join

This role offers a competitive monthly salary of KES 150,000–KES 180,000, a full-time position based in Nairobi, and direct exposure to the CEO’s office. You will be joining a rapidly expanding security and technology business at a pivotal growth stage, with the autonomy to build a genuinely regional brand function from a strategic vantage point. For someone who thrives on bridging marketing and commercial results, this is a chance to shape perceptions of a fast-rising tech player across six African markets while developing a standout leadership portfolio in B2B marketing.
