Role Overview
You will be the hands-on quality engineer for a mobile banking application spanning ten functional areas, from account opening to an AI-powered assistant. Each day you will execute test cases against a fast-moving build, uncover defects early, and help the team understand failure patterns before they reach customers. Your work directly determines whether the app is reliable, usable, and ready for each integration milestone.
Key Responsibilities
- Run functional, integration, and end-to-end journey tests across all modules, including onboarding, cards, transfers, and the LEO AI assistant.
- Perform non-security non-functional testing such as reliability, usability and accessibility, compatibility, localization, and data integrity checks.
- Carry out concurrency and sequencing scenarios, upgrade and migration testing, and chaos or failure injection tests to expose system weaknesses.
- Test conversational-AI behavior for the LEO assistant, covering different phrasings, edge-case inputs, and safety guardrails.
- Log every defect with a clear severity level and likely root-cause area, then verify fixes and close them in a timely manner.
- Take part in daily stand-ups and defect triage sessions, reporting progress and highlighting any blockers that affect test coverage.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior experience testing mobile banking applications or fintech products.
- Ability to work confidently in a continuously updating build environment with parallel testing activities.
- At least one member of the testing team must be capable of designing and executing fault-injection experiments and multi-device concurrency setups.
- Strong hands-on skills in manual test execution, using defect-tracking tools such as Jira, and testing on both iOS and Android devices.
- Solid understanding of banking domain concepts, including account structures, payment flows, and card operations.
- Familiarity with non-functional testing concepts and the ability to judge whether an app meets usability, reliability, and compatibility expectations.
