Role Overview

The IT Manager owns the full technology function—from shaping long-term strategy to keeping day-to-day systems reliable and secure. This leader directs a team of IT Officers and Associates, manages infrastructure and service delivery, and ensures technology decisions directly support business growth. By bridging technical execution with company objectives, the role safeguards data, enables operational efficiency, and positions the organization to adapt to new challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the IT strategy so that technology investments, projects, and policies align with the company’s growth and operational goals.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of core infrastructure—including networks, servers, and cloud environments—to guarantee security, uptime, and performance.
• Build and refine IT service management processes such as incident response, problem resolution, change control, and request fulfillment, while monitoring feedback to improve stakeholder satisfaction.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing IT team, promoting collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Implement cybersecurity measures and risk management practices to protect company and client data, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Partner with business units to identify and deploy technology solutions that enhance service delivery and create competitive advantage.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating for value and performance, and serve as a key liaison between IT and senior leadership.
• Conduct regular IT assessments and audits, using findings to refine policies, procedures, and technology standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leading successful IT teams.
• Hands-on experience in a busy IT department; prior exposure to a BPO environment is an added advantage.
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure management, particularly cloud computing and cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, project management, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Proficiency in budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor management.
• Advanced knowledge of IT governance frameworks and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and their practical application in business contexts.
• Relevant IT certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing technological landscapes.
