Job Title: Lodge Maintenance Supervisor
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all technical and repair operations at our lodge. This role ensures that facilities, equipment, and vehicles remain in excellent condition while coordinating a team of mechanics and maintenance staff. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership abilities and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Team Coordination
- Assign and monitor tasks for mechanics and maintenance staff.
- Conduct daily briefings to discuss priorities, issues, and plans.
- Maintain radio availability to assist with maintenance tasks.
Inspections
- Inspect lodge facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Check key systems including water treatment, generators, solar system, HVAC, and electrical panels.
Repairs and Maintenance
- Assist with and oversee urgent repairs such as plumbing leaks and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles are in working order.
Service Contractors
- Coordinate, facilitate, and monitor subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality work that aligns with the lodge’s standards.
- Schedule activities, provide access to relevant areas, verify completed work, and maintain clear communication between subcontractors and the lodge.
Logistics
- Monitor fuel levels for generators and vehicles.
- Monitor gas levels in bulk tanks and portable bottles.
- Ensure tools and consumables (light bulbs, plumbing parts, etc.) are adequately stocked.
Record-Keeping
- Update logs for completed work, equipment usage, and issues resolved.
- Complete all required daily dips and recordings.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Strong technical knowledge of maintenance systems: electrical, plumbing, solar, and HVAC.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in maintenance operations.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
