Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) invites applications for a Graduate Assistantship within the M.Sc. Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Microelectronic Engineering) programme. This exciting opportunity is open to Kenyan graduates under 30 years of age who are eligible for admission to the Master's programme and willing to contribute to the University's academic and research mission while pursuing advanced studies.
Successful applicants will be appointed as Graduate Assistants and will be expected to complete their Master's degree within the prescribed study period. Under the scholarship terms, candidates in this category will proceed to a Ph.D. programme upon successful completion of the M.Sc.

Requirements
- Must be a Kenyan citizen under the age of 30 years at the time of application.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, or a related relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must have obtained a minimum of Second-Class Honours (Upper Division).
- Must be registered or registrable with relevant professional and/or regulatory bodies where applicable.
- Willingness to pursue an M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Microelectronic Engineering) and transition to a Ph.D. programme upon successful completion.
- Demonstrated academic excellence, research potential, and strong communication skills.
- Must meet all admission requirements of the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology M.Sc. programme.
Responsibilities
- Enroll in and successfully complete the M.Sc. Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Microelectronic Engineering) programme within the prescribed study period.
- Provide academic support to undergraduate students through tutorials, laboratory sessions, and supervised study.
- Assist faculty members with teaching, research, and administrative duties as assigned by the University.
- Participate in ongoing research projects in microelectronic engineering and related fields.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress and comply with DeKUT's graduate assistantship terms and conditions.
- Fulfill bonding obligations and other applicable regulations set by Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.
- Transition to Ph.D. studies upon successful completion of the Master's programme, as guided by the scholarship framework.
