Job Requirements
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must;
- Have a Bachelor of laws (LL. B) degree from a recognized university;
- Have Post admission experience of 3 years and above;
- Be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
- Be a member of the Law Society of Kenya and in good standing;
- Have a Valid Practicing License;
- Be Conversant with operations of the County Government and applicable laws; and
- Have demonstrated
Job Description
- Representing the County Executive in litigation and other legal matters;
- Preparing legal documents and instruments, legal opinions, legal briefs, leases, contracts and memoranda of understanding for the County Executive;
- Conducting legal research on pending case files;
- undertaking research on specific legal matters and emerging trends and coming up with opinion to facilitate the justice process;
- Recommending alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in addressing legal matters;
- Supervising junior legal counsel and other subordinate staff in the Office of the County Attorney;
- Collecting and collating research data;
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the County Attorney from time to time.
