Role Overview

This academic role combines teaching, student supervision, curriculum development and research across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will also contribute your expertise beyond the classroom through professional and community engagement, partnerships, and university service.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses in your area of expertise at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Guide undergraduate projects and other practical or experiential learning activities.
• Supervise postgraduate dissertations and theses.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Develop, promote and take part in research projects relevant to your discipline.
• Provide professional and community services, and help build partnerships and support for university activities.
• Undertake administrative duties and other responsibilities assigned to the role.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Doctoral qualification route: An earned doctorate, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised academic institution.
• Master’s qualification route: A master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited, recognised university. This route is specified for Health and ICT applicants.
• Applicants using the master’s qualification route must have at least three years of teaching experience at university level, or relevant research or industry experience.
• Registration with the relevant professional body is required where applicable; applicants must be registered or eligible to register.
• Applicants using the master’s qualification route must have at least one publication. Publications are an added advantage for applicants using the doctoral route.
