Job Description
Role Overview
This academic role combines teaching, student supervision and research across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate will contribute to course development, support practical and experiential learning, and help build connections between the university, professional communities and the wider public.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the relevant discipline.
- Guide undergraduate projects and supervise other experiential learning activities.
- Supervise graduate dissertations and theses.
- Contribute to the design and development of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Develop, promote and take part in research projects.
- Provide professional and community services, and help establish partnerships and fundraising opportunities.
- Undertake administrative work and other duties assigned to the role.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Applicants may qualify through either of the following routes:
- An earned doctorate, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised academic institution. Publications are an advantage.
- For applicants in Health or ICT: a master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited, recognised university, at least three years of teaching experience at university level or relevant research or industry experience, and at least one publication.
- Registration with the relevant professional body is required where applicable. Applicants must be registered or eligible to register.
