Lecturer - Cyber Security

Role Overview

Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate courses in your academic discipline, while guiding students through research, projects and other hands-on learning. The role also contributes to programme development, scholarly research and engagement with professional and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Assess student work and provide feedback on academic progress.
• Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning activities.
• Guide postgraduate students through dissertation or thesis research.
• Contribute to the design and review of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Develop, support and participate in research projects.
• Contribute professional and community services, build external partnerships and support fundraising initiatives.
• Undertake administrative tasks and other duties assigned to the role.

Requirements & Qualifications

• One of the following qualification pathways is required:
  • An earned doctorate, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised academic institution; or
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited and recognised university. The master’s pathway applies to Health and ICT applicants.
• Applicants using the master’s pathway must have at least three years of teaching experience at university level, or relevant experience in research or industry.
• Registration with the relevant professional body is required where applicable; applicants must be registered or eligible for registration.
• Applicants using the master’s pathway must have at least one publication. Publications are an added advantage for applicants with a doctorate.
