Role Overview

This academic role combines teaching, assessment and student supervision across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The postholder will also contribute to course development, research and engagement with professional and community partners, supporting the university’s academic work and wider impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses within the relevant academic discipline at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Guide undergraduate projects and supervise other experiential learning activities.
• Supervise postgraduate dissertations and theses.
• Contribute to the design and development of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Develop, promote and participate in research projects.
• Provide professional and community services, and help build partnerships and pursue fundraising opportunities.
• Undertake administrative work and other duties assigned to the role.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Applicants on the doctoral pathway must hold an earned doctorate, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognised academic institution.
• Applicants on the alternative pathway must hold a master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited and recognised university; this pathway is specified for Health and ICT fields.
• For the master’s-level pathway, at least three years of teaching experience at university level, research experience or relevant industry experience is required.
• Registration with the relevant professional body is required where applicable. Applicants on the master’s-level pathway must be registered with the relevant professional body.
• At least one publication is required for applicants on the master’s-level pathway. Publications are an advantage for applicants on the doctoral pathway.
