Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our clinical laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic tests and analyses on clinical specimens to assist in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, strictly adhering to established protocols and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of complex diagnostic tests and analyses on clinical specimens with accuracy and precision.
• Ensure all testing procedures comply with laboratory protocols, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure reliable test results.
• Record, verify, and report test results in a timely manner while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and internal audits.
• Collaborate with medical staff to interpret results and support clinical decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Experience: At least one year of internship working experience.
• Licensure: Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
• QMS Knowledge: Trained and must demonstrate understanding of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
• Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
