Junior HR Consultant / HR Analyst

Role Overview

This role supports the full lifecycle of consulting projects by handling the behind-the-scenes data gathering, scheduling, and documentation that keeps engagements on track. Day to day, you’ll organise interviews, collect and organise HR records, conduct salary benchmarks, and prepare working papers that directly shape client deliverables. Your work ensures that consultants have accurate, well-structured information to build their recommendations, making you a linchpin between raw data and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate interviews and meetings with client department heads and stakeholders.
• Gather organisational charts, job descriptions, headcount data, and other HR documents from client teams.
• Review existing job descriptions for completeness, consistency, and alignment with standard job evaluation frameworks.
• Facilitate job analysis sessions, capturing duties, responsibilities, and required competencies for each role.
• Compile and clean job evaluation data, ensuring accuracy before transferring to scoring models or databases.
• Conduct desktop research on salary ranges and total compensation packages across relevant industries and geographies.
• Write interview summaries and compile working papers that capture key findings and support the consultant’s analysis.
• Support the creation of draft reports, slide decks, and presentation materials for client workshops and final deliverables.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Industrial Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Active membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) at Graduate or Associate level, with good standing.
• 3–4 years of professional experience in HR consulting or HR operations roles.
• Hands-on exposure to job evaluation, HR analytics, organisational development, or compensation and benefits projects — a strong plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data cleaning), Word (document formatting), and PowerPoint (slide creation and design).
• Demonstrated ability to analyse HR data, conduct structured research, and prepare clear, accurate documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Comfortable working within a team, sharing progress, and proactively flagging data or scheduling issues.
