Description:
AKS Prime Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Business Setup and Accountancy Advisory company in the United Arab Emirates for the position of Junior Accountant. This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking to strengthen their accounting expertise while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
The selected candidate will assist the Accounting Manager with a variety of daily finance functions, including bookkeeping, financial record maintenance, reconciliations, payroll support, VAT-related tasks, and accurate accounting entries using Zoho Books. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure financial accuracy while supporting compliance with UAE accounting regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Accounting Manager with daily accounting operations.
• Record and post financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger records.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations while resolving any discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting processes.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping and data entry using Zoho Books.
• Assist with VAT registration, filing, and deregistration activities.
• Support Corporate Tax compliance requirements when needed.
• Prepare documentation required for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with auditors by providing the necessary financial records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE regulations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. UAE experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience working with Zoho Books is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT regulations. Corporate Tax knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
Strong knowledge of:
• Accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Zoho Books and Microsoft Excel.
• UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting procedures.
