Role Overview
You will own meaningful parts of our lending product here in India, taking features from early idea to shipped reality while the business scales quickly. Day to day, you will work alongside software engineers, operations specialists, and external partners spread across three continents to improve what we already offer and to build the next generation of financial products for our customers. This role exists to turn ambiguous customer problems into clear, measurable product decisions that keep our lending engine reliable and growing.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the full product lifecycle for your focus areas, from researching customer needs and writing detailed product specs, through sprint planning and shepherding releases to production.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to reproduce and triage bugs, agree on clear requirements, and sequence work into realistic quarterly milestones.
- Evaluate potential third-party partners, lead onboarding discussions, and manage ongoing vendor relationships so new capabilities can be added without slowing the roadmap.
- Analyze product metrics, user research, and industry shifts to inform strategy and decide which initiatives deserve engineering time and which should be deprioritized.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating constraints and tradeoffs into language everyone can act on.
- Support a culture of experimentation by helping design lightweight tests, interpreting results, and turning learnings into concrete next steps.
- Identify operational bottlenecks that affect product quality or speed, then work with cross-functional peers to remove them.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of product management or equivalent project/product ownership experience, ideally in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems and drive a project from vague idea to shipped outcome.
- Strong analytical skills: you can identify the right metrics, build basic SQL or spreadsheet analyses, and turn data into confident recommendations.
- Solid technical fluency so you can reason with engineers about system design, tradeoffs, and dependencies without needing to write code yourself.
- Excellent written communication, especially for asynchronous collaboration with remote teams in different time zones.
- A collaborative, low-ego mindset; you are comfortable being questioned, open to ideas from anywhere, and willing to teach and learn in equal measure.
- Comfort working lean: you know how to prioritize, do more with fewer resources, and stay focused on outcomes rather than output.
- Fintech experience is a bonus but not required if you have strong product fundamentals and intellectual curiosity.
