Role Overview
This position anchors the day-to-day technology operations at our factory site, making sure that every server, network connection, and end-user device stays up and running without interruption. You will act as the first line of defence for technical issues, while also supporting broader IT initiatives that keep production and administrative teams working efficiently. Your work directly impacts operational reliability, security, and the smooth delivery of digital services across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain on-site IT infrastructure, including servers, local area networks, and endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops, and printers.
- Resolve technical tickets and provide hands-on support for staff, handling both first-line and second-line issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Implement and monitor security controls, including firewall rules, access permissions, and antivirus protection, while ensuring backup and disaster recovery processes are tested on a regular schedule.
- Coordinate with the NOC team to track system uptime, review monitoring alerts, and respond to incidents that may affect factory operations.
- Provision and manage user accounts, email mailboxes, and enterprise software deployments, ensuring that roles and permissions align with company policy.
- Set up and maintain audio/video conferencing equipment and collaboration platforms used for meetings and remote coordination.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, flagging obsolete equipment and recommending replacements or upgrades as needed.
- Support onboarding by conducting basic IT orientation sessions and delivering short training on security practices and system usage for new employees.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, helpdesk operations, or systems administration.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configuration.
- Practical experience administering Windows and Linux servers, including patching, user management, and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure, including identity management and mail services.
- Working knowledge of IT security fundamentals, such as access control, encryption, and common compliance frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently, plus clear written and verbal communication in English.
