Role Overview
As an SDET / Test Engineer, you will shape how software quality is designed, measured, and maintained across client projects. You will build automation that exercises applications at the UI, API, and integration levels, contribute code alongside developers, and connect test results to delivery pipelines so teams can release with greater confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for user interfaces, APIs, and system integrations, with a focus on dependable and efficient execution.
- Work with engineers early in design and development to turn requirements and acceptance criteria into clear, testable scenarios.
- Integrate unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression checks into CI/CD pipelines, using appropriate results to inform or prevent deployments.
- Contribute production-quality application code when needed, developing a working understanding of the systems under test.
- Assess performance and reliability risks, including load-related bottlenecks, concurrency issues, and failure scenarios.
- Apply AI-assisted tools to speed up test creation, failure analysis, coverage review, and test maintenance, while using human judgment for risk assessment and edge cases.
- Share quality findings, delivery risks, and trade-offs with engineering, product, and advisory colleagues, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Improve automation practices across projects by making frameworks maintainable, reusable, and suited to fast delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong practical experience with a modern UI automation tool such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, and testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or a comparable language, including the ability to write maintainable, production-quality code.
- Experience testing REST APIs, JSON payloads, and data flows across systems.
- Hands-on experience incorporating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, with tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of Git and version-controlled development practices.
- Ability to reason about backend behavior, state, concurrency, and data integrity in addition to user-interface behavior.
- A proactive, ownership-oriented approach to finding quality risks and improving test design, with the communication skills to explain technical concerns and trade-offs clearly.
- The source does not specify a required number of years of experience or a formal education qualification.
What We Offer / Why Join
- The opportunity to influence quality engineering across multiple client engagements and build automation practices that teams can reuse.
- A role that combines test architecture, hands-on software development, CI/CD engineering, reliability testing, and practical use of AI tools.
