Technical Purpose
We are expanding our network deployment team and seeking five highly capable, hands-on ISP Field Technicians to drive our fiber infrastructure rollout. Your primary mandate is to ensure seamless internet connectivity by executing high-standard fiber installations, terminations, and active maintenance across residential and corporate accounts. This active field role links physical infrastructure with network configuration; you will navigate diverse environments from high-climbing pole attachments to internal structured cabling and router configurations. The position suits a self-driven field technician who possesses solid mechanical intuition, understands fiber architecture, and can independently resolve client connectivity faults.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Fiber Infrastructure Deployment & Activation

Execute precise installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic lines for residential, SME, and corporate subscribers.

Mount and configure customer premises equipment (CPE) including Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), network switches, and wireless routers.

Oversee both aerial and underground cable layouts, ensuring exact routing, systematic labeling, and long-term physical cable safety.
Maintenance Operations & Fault Diagnostics

Troubleshoot and fix complex fiber connectivity issues, optical signal loss, and sudden network dropouts using precise field diagnostic tools.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance on local distribution boxes, main fiber paths, and active network nodes.

Isolate physical LAN/WAN faults, replacing compromised drop cables, connectors, and faulty hardware devices while escalating systemic core faults to the NOC team.
Structured Cabling & Rack Organization

Install comprehensive Cat6 structured cabling networks, managing physical terminations at customer installations.

Design and execute professional cable layout plans, ensuring neat wire dressing inside server racks, data cabinets, and faceplates.

Set up physical containment pathways, conduits, and patching mechanisms to meet high-level commercial installation aesthetics.
Subscriber Onboarding & Technical Care

Conduct preliminary physical site surveys to determine optimal cable pathways and hardware positions for new subscribers.

Train customers on basic network diagnostics, local equipment operations, and fundamental router settings post-installation.

Respond rapidly to assigned technical support tickets, ensuring total courtesy and professional customer care during site visits.
Requirements & Skills
Minimum Entry Criteria

Academic Foundation: Diploma or Certificate in Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking, or a related technical discipline.

Hands-on Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive field experience in fiber optic splicing/installation, ISP technical field runs, and structured cabling setups.

Physical Adaptability: Fully comfortable working in high-intensity outdoor setups, which includes climbing utility poles, navigating rooftop structures, and executing extended outdoor field assignments.
